Role Summary:
The IT Delivery & Transformation Director is responsible for ensuring the seamless delivery of current IT services, projects, and transformation initiatives in alignment with our IT Operating Model. This will include responsibility for the design and delivery of systems that enable revenue growth and ensure system compliance and security. Collaboration with third-party teams and service providers, that are managed indirectly through a Transition Services Agreement with Zayo Group IT, will be a key requirement. Therefore the successful candidate must possess both deep technical knowledge and strong communication and collaboration skills.
The role will deliver on the Board approved strategy and tailor solutions for Zayo Europe requirements. Our IT strategy is to manage Zayo EU operations and the delivery of solutions and services produced by the Zayo Group IT and provide Europe centric solutions catered to the business needs. The role will manage the execution of the Zayo Europe IT strategy, preparing us for future transformation.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the transformation of a small internal team focussed on day-to-day IT operations, as well as advise on the evaluation of a standalone team and/or service providers to cost effectively enhance service delivery and increase independence.
This role is pivotal in managing ticket resolution with the US business, tracking service level agreements (SLAs), and driving the strategic execution of IT projects. The IT Delivery & Transformation Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, both in Europe and North America, to develop and operationalise IT governance, establish transformation frameworks, and support integration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight of Inter-Company Operating Model :
Oversee ticket resolution, SLA tracking, and escalation processes to ensure prompt issue resolution and Europe IT requirements are met.
Define and drive development request criteria from concept through business case approval, cost estimation, and payment processing.
Monitor and optimise IT service delivery processes, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business objectives.
Project & Transformation Management:
Lead IT transformation initiatives, including repatriation efforts and Transition Service Agreements (TSAs).
Develop business case models and support stakeholders in designing requirements for key business systems (HR, CPQ, Finance)
Engage with cross-functional teams to drive digital transformation, optimise IT operations, and improve service integration.
Support broader business change programs by embedding IT capabilities into transformation strategies.
Lead key IT projects to a successful implementation
Governance & Performance Management:
Establish and maintain IT governance cadence, ensuring regular reporting, reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
Provide strategic oversight on IT-related decisions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Conduct business analysis and develop comprehensive IT plans that align with business goals.
Drive the execution of IT strategies, ensuring successful delivery of technology initiatives and enhancements.
Develop and present business cases to justify IT investments and secure funding.
Data Mapping & Integration:
Set-up and then support data mapping activities to facilitate integration efforts, including leveraging mapping insights from Crown Castle.
Collaborate with US-based staff working on European projects to ensure seamless data and system interoperability.
Identify opportunities to enhance data alignment and integration across geographies.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in IT service management, project delivery, and transformation initiatives.
Experience of systems architecture and data mapping
Strong understanding of IT governance, SLA management, and performance tracking.
Expertise in business analysis, IT strategy development, and execution.
Experience in managing cross-border IT projects and integrations, preferably in a global organization.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage with both technical and business teams.
Knowledge of data mapping techniques and system integration methodologies.
Experience with IT financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.
Preferred Qualifications:
ITIL or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, or related industries is advantageous.
Familiarity with transformation efforts such as repatriation and TSA management.
Exposure to multinational IT operations, particularly US and European IT collaborations.
Location & Travel:
This role is based in Bulgaria with potential to travel to other global locations as required to support IT integration and transformation efforts. The role may be required to vary hours of work in order to collaborate with colleagues in North America
