Zayo is seeking a Commercial Specialist to join the Europe organization reporting directly to the segment’s Senior Deal Manager in our Commercial Operations team. This position plays a pivotal role in obtaining quotes from our vendors for pricing and packaging bespoke offerings for our customers. ● Buying dark fiber, wavelengths, ethernet and data center services for our global world-class infrastructure portfolio and packaging a commercial offer to our Customers for Type 2 and off-network services
● Use company databases and market intelligence to provide alternative sourcing options as needed
● Capable of providing end-to-end deal management when extensive use of third party services are required
● Professional communication with our Vendors
● Can understand and communicate pricing requirements fully, including documenting the figures into our system
● Specializes in quoting and pricing for UK and Continental Europe in support of our global Sales organization
● Single point to point quotes or large RFP responses
Protecting the bottom line by negotiating the best rates possible
● Develop knowledge about market pricing and competitive expertise to negotiate the best pricing
● Self-Accountable: you can proactively manage your queue and are obsessed with beating deadlines and responding to Sales in a timely manner
● Liaison with multiple functions within the organization to ensure all requirements are complete and correct
● Ensures we are purchasing the correct product for the service and are agreeing to the appropriate terms and conditions
● Logs quoting information into our system of record for analytics and valuable insights
● Contributes to global shared documentation and intelligence gathering
Qualifications
● English speaking required; French desirable
● Telecom experience required
● Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and web-based applications preferred
● Professional demeanor; self-accountable and self-motivated
● Great communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal
● Ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently and effectively
● Attention to detail is a must
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
● Ability to maintain confidentiality of information when needed
● Financial acumen and business sense
● Problem solving; solutions-oriented
