Pickup & Delivery Driver

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The main objective and purpose of this position consist in providing safe, efficient, prompt, and courteous pick-up and delivery service for gasses, while promoting ALC’s quality and safety objectives. In addition, you will also be acting as front line customer service in our retail stores.

You will pick your own load of cylinders, plan out your day based on items dispatched for you, drive to required sites and pick up empties than offload trucks upon return

As a pick up and delivery driver you will be responsible for the following:

• Pick up and deliver freight safely and efficiently
• Loads and unloads trucks with other team members
• Operates vehicles in a safe manner
• Reports all unsafe conditions, and all accidents immediately to his Supervisor or the Safety Champion.

On occasion you will also be acting as a front line Inside Sales Representative:

• Get to know our customer base both on the front line and making deliveries, learn about our products and mentor from our Outside Sales Team and Managers to grow your advancement opportunities!
• Cylinder and hardgoods delivery.

• Identifies and respects our commitment to our customers and ensures that deliveries are made in time.
• Process and confirm delivery slips.
• Communicates with the logistics team to ensure cylinder replenishing.
• Use your welding knowledge and experience to deliver products to our customers, and help them find the right supplies for their projects and business needs
• Plan routes for delivery and follow ALC's safety policies diligently

Are you a MATCH?

• DZ Licence with 2 years of driving experience
• High school diploma
• Clean driver´s abstract
• A clean motor vehicle record (CVOR)
• Welding knowledge/experience/education is a strong asset
• Shipping & Receiving when needed

Additional information

• Must be able to lifts 50 lbs comfortably
