Responsibilities
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The main object and purpose of this position consists in coordinating pick up and delivery operations within secondary distribution with respect to work processes and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for the shipment and distribution activities related to hardgoods and cylinder gases making sure to provide our customers with the best possible service. The incumbent supervises Regional Fleet Supervisors, P&D Drivers and related shipping reports keeping all relevant driver information up to date including qualifications while promoting ALC safety and quality objectives.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages and optimizes resources: Implements and improves supply structures in keeping with organizational objectives. Supervises the planning and coordination of the distribution of cylinders and welding products.
2. Ensures the development and training of the team: Directly supervises Fleet Supervisors and P&D Drivers. Motivates and helps each person in the secondary distribution group by making sure that each member has the skill, training and resources needed to operate autonomously. Shares the objectives to be attained and takes the necessary measures to ensure their execution fulfillment. Keeps informed about industry developments and shares his/her experience and know-how.
3. Process Improvement: Adopts a solution approach with his various interlocutors. Works with his/her team and other cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes. Makes a critical analysis of his/her activities, identifies causes of dysfunction and proposes appropriate corrective actions. Reviews applicable KPIs and efficiency projects with team on a regular basis and works towards implementation of any applicable operational changes as a result, in keeping with the ALC strategy. Recommends the optimal allocation of resources.
4. Ensures and promotes safety: Respects and ensures that internal and external regulations are respected in keeping with the policies and procedures that apply to the secondary distribution department. Facilitates and conducts safety meetings for the drivers and prepares complete reports on said meetings. Implements and ensures a follow up of safety and quality indicators and adopts the necessary corrective actions. Is responsible for purchasing and maintenance of safety equipment.
5. Supervises maintenance and quality: Prepares, tracks, and compiles all maintenance for P&D trucks in MIRRT and ensures follow up of all repairs. Monitors primary vendors used for preventative maintenance quality and suggests improvements where required. Manages all maintenance requirements for forklifts in region in conjunction with cross functional team members. Ensures all maintenance programs comply with applicable IMS CGPs.

Diploma: College Diploma or equivalent experience, pertaining to logistics or distribution
Training: Quality System (ISO), Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Team Facilitation
Knowledge: Computerized systems, MS Office, Management, Finance, Oral & Written Communication Skills
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
5 years of experience in a similar position or field.
