Position Overview
We are seeking a Paralegal to join the legal team at Zayo Europe. This role is essential in managing a variety of legal matters, including commercial contracts, corporate governance, company secretarial, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), real estate, and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the legal team in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
- Liaise with our company secretarial agencies to oversee corporate secretarial filings and maintain accurate corporate records across the Zayo Europe entities.
- Manage the execution and notarisation of corporate documents.
- Facilitate changes to Directors/Officers and Registered Addresses.
- Support effective contract management processes.
- Provide administrative support on real estate and rights of way matters
- Support the effective tracking and billing of external counsel spend
- Conduct legal research on issues relevant to the telecom sector.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external counsel and third parties.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the legal team.
Qualifications
- A paralegal certificate is preferred but not essential.
- 1-3 years of paralegal experience in the telecommunications sector is preferred.
- Bi-lingual at a business level in French and English is essential
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and workloads effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with legal professionals, business colleagues, and external counsel to devise practical solutions.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Experience with commercial contracts is desirable.
Technical Proficiencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Salesforce.com is a significant advantage.
