We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer (.Net) to join one of our new ventures in the online casino domain. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a founding engineering team and leverage your expertise to scale an exciting and high-potential product & team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional engineering team
• Provide guidance on software design and architecture to ensure scalability and optimal performance
• Design and develop robust, distributed backend systems using C# and .NET (WebAPI)
• Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance
• Build and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Drive CI/CD automation and ensure smooth deployment processes
• Lead efforts in performance optimization, troubleshooting, and post-deployment support
• Maintain high code quality through unit, integration, and performance testing
• Foster an environment of continuous learning by conducting regular knowledge-sharing sessions and code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a tech leadership / lead engineer role
• Extensive experience with C# and .NET, building REST APIs with WebAPI
• Strong expertise in SQL databases and query optimization
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation
• Hands-on experience with Docker or other relevant containerization tools
• Strong knowledge of system design, architecture, and best practices
• Understanding of security principles and scalable application development
• Experience with unit, integration, and performance testing
• Knowledge of any popular JavaScript framework (such as React) is a plus
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
• Excellent written and spoken English
