As a Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team, responsible for executing test cases, identifying and documenting software defects, and contributing to the overall improvement of our testing processes. You will work closely with other senior and mid-level QA engineers to gain hands-on experience in testing methodologies and tools, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Daily challenges

  • Support the analysis of software requirements, specifications, and other documents needed for tests design and test executions.
  • Actively participate in the design, implementation, and documentation of test scenarios and test cases and their maintenance.
  • Contribute to ensuring the software quality and reliability.
  • Execute test cases.
  • Assist in the identification and documentation of software defects and bugs based on predefined test scenarios. Track their resolution using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Manages individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables within the project.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Provide testing support during software release cycles.
  • Participate in team meetings and discussions.
  • Attend company trainings for cross-skilling and/or upskilling.

Experience and skills required

  • ISTQB certification
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and the Software Test Life Cycle, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with fundamental software testing concepts, Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies, and testing processes.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking tools and test management systems.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Experience working with programming to understand product line software
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse data, identify and assess problems in program and test program modifications and enhancements
  • Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
