The engineering team at Ebury is seeking a recent graduate to join the team as an Intern Platform Engineer. As part of our diverse team spread across South America and Europe, the successful candidate will learn on the fly and be immersed in a supportive environment aimed at fostering the skills necessary for a prosperous career in FinTech. The candidate will grow while contributing to the development and optimisation of our platform infrastructure.
No prior work experience is required; we're looking for drive, curiosity, and a genuine interest in technology and financial services.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with team members to maintain the availability and reliability of our systems.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of monitoring and incident management for infrastructure and applications.
- Use observability tools to gain insights into system performance and contribute to improvements.
- Help design and implement automation tools and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues within our systems, gaining valuable hands-on experience with real-world applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and partake in the creation of innovative financial products.
It would be a plus to have:
- Interest in learning about building large-scale distributed systems.
- Basic understanding of cloud architecture and application deployment patterns, ideally on GCP or AWS.
- Exposure to containerised systems, such as those deployed on Kubernetes.
- Some experience with programming, particularly in Python, is helpful, but eagerness to learn is essential.
- Fresh graduate or final year student with a strong interest in starting a career in Platform engineering and financial technologies.
- Since you will work side by side with colleagues from different countries, you will be able to communicate clearly and concisely your ideas in English, both written and spoken.
