As a Software Quality Team Leader working in our office in Cluj, you will lead a team that works on Garmin Connect, the fitness and wellness application that millions of Garmin customers rely on. We are looking forward to meet a Software Quality Team Leader, with automation testing experience (API) , who is willing to contribute in an end to end product development environment.
Garmin Connect is our best known, Fitness and Outdoor power-house companion app catering to over 20 millions active users and supporting an ever growing number of compatible Garmin devices (around 150 at this point). The feature set is very rich and targets our complex user base with running, cycling, wellness, training, smartwatch, golfing, diving, and even pregnancy tracking feature.
From this role, you will:
- Direct and coordinate a team of software quality engineers who administer, develop, and support QA engineering tools within Garmin`s QA engineering group
- Lead and mentor your QA automation team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to succeed
- Oversee software development lifecycle, evaluating workload, adjusting schedules and priorities to make sure automated tests are delivered on time
- Drive, coordinate, supervise and facilitate the work processes of our team while being involved hands on in the day-to-day project delivery
- Actively leading the solution creation, effort estimation, development, and project implementation
- Align the team and individual goals with the objectives of the organization
- Create, maintain, offer and improve the resources needed to increase performance of the team members
- Track KPIs for your team and drive continuous process improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to align development activities for the automation team
- Ensure efficient communication between teams
- Support team members, peers, and other Garmin associates by actively seeking feedback, building networks, sharing successes, tools and knowledge
