How You Will Make an Impact:

The I & E Technician is critical to ensuring the Conveyor stays running.  Atlas prides itself on being a technology driven company and a critical piece of that is maintaining our sensors and hardware at the plants. 

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, switches and relays
  • Diagnose and correct problems associated with PLC’s and electrical systems & controls.
  • Plan details of jobs that are assigned.
  • Ability to use blueprints, sketches and complex drawings.
  • Tools used by I&E technicians include oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltmeters, multimeters, and high and low voltage detectors.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain process control systems such as Control Logix PLC’s, analog and discrete IO devices, and Ethernet IP communications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot intelligent motor starters with E300 communication modules
  • Ability to troubleshoot Allan Bradley lines of PowerFlex VFDs and Allan Bradley Soft Starts

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment both indoors and outdoors.
  • Previous experience working with electronic communication devices such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltmeters, multimeters, and high and low voltage detectors.
  • Experience reading product manuals and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to calibrate a wide array of sensors and detectors.
