Responsibilities
Purpose of the job:
The Energy and Technical Facilities Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the technical and energy infrastructure of the production unit, ensuring continuity of operations and compliance with quality and safety requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Technical and energy infrastructure management
Coordinates the activities of the Energy and Technical Facilities department, ensuring the optimal operation of critical equipment:
• HVAC systems (temperature and humidity control for production areas and laboratories).
• Production and distribution of technical gases.
• Compressed air and vacuum systems used in technological processes.
• Power station and backup power supply for critical equipment.
• Water treatment plant used in technological processes and purification systems.
• Fire extinguishing and potable water supply systems.
2. Compliance with regulations and quality standards
• Ensures that all equipment and utilities comply with GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 50001 and ANRE standards.
• Coordinates metrology, calibration and calibration activities for measurement and monitoring equipment.
• Develops, implements and updates operational procedures and work instructions according to applicable standards.
• Monitors and reports utility consumption, analyzing deviations and proposing solutions for efficiency.
3. Maintenance and investment management
• Develops and implements preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, minimizing equipment downtime.
• Coordinates investment projects for the modernization of technical and energy infrastructure, integrating sustainable technologies.
• Collaborates with the Production and Quality departments to ensure process continuity.
4. Optimizing energy consumption and sustainability
• Defines and implements energy efficiency strategies to reduce costs and optimize resources.
• Monitors energy, water and gas consumption, developing sustainability projects.
• Ensures that the facilities comply with environmental legislation and collaborates with the authorities for the necessary certifications.
5. Team management and relationship with the authorities
• Coordinates and develops the technical team, ensuring continuous training.
• Participates in internal and external audits, providing support for technical documentation.
• Maintains the relationship with regulatory authorities (ANRE, Ministry of Energy) and utility providers.
Job requirements
Education: Bachelor Degree (Energy Engineering, Installations, Automation, Mechanics or similar).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (Utilities / Facilities Manager).;
- Experience in a company in the pharmaceutical, chemical or food industry is an advantage.
Required technical knowledge:
- Operation and maintenance of utility equipment (HVAC, purified water, compressed air, thermal plants, UPS, SCADA);
- ISO regulations (9001, 50001) and technical safety norms;
- Energy efficiency and sustainability processes;
- Technical project management and investment management;
- PC use (MS Office, AutoCAD, SCADA systems).
Certifications constituting an advantage:
- ISO 50001 certification – Energy Management;
- Energy Manager Certificate issued by ANRE;
- Specialization courses in energy efficiency, SCADA, BMS.
