CORE and Global Services is a group of legal professionals working and supporting different areas such as Ethics and Compliance, Regulatory Offerings, Procurement, Corporate Matters and the Services Areas aligned with the new offerings and technologies such as Strategy & Consulting, Interactive, Technology, Security and Operations. Ethics & Compliance-Trade Compliance Role provides support to Accenture's Global Trade Compliance Program and objectives, mainly focusing on cross border activities subject to applicable economic sanctions and export control laws. To handle responsibilities related to mailbox queries and process management as required for the team. Specific Responsibilities Assist and provide guidance to other Legal teams regarding Accenture’s Trade Compliance Program. Understand and stay up-to date on trade compliance sanctions programs to assist in AP1254 policy implementation and provide internal guidance to Legal, Business, Delivery and Finance teams to keep Accenture safe and compliant while conducting its services. Act as first line of support for all kind of Trade Compliance related queries, incoming to shared Mailbox from any location. Evaluate queries, respond, delegate or escalate, as appropriate. Recognize issues and provide timely escalation to leadership or appropriate stakeholders/players, in a precise and concise manner. Provide advice on new business opportunities that may carry trade compliance risks. Lead and conduct internal due diligence activities regarding escalated incidents, to detect and prevent any potential vulnerabilities. Assist Trade Compliance Senior Management in sensitive matters, including licensing requests and reporting activity before government regulatory authorities. Engage with external client´s trade compliance teams, as required. Support upgraded due diligence and risk assessments using internal as well as third party tools, to make the best-informed decisions. Support development and monitor implementation of trade compliance programs Deliver trainings to spread trade compliance related awareness amongst CM, Business, and regional stakeholders. Generic Responsibilities Understands CORE area needs and priorities, strategy, objectives, and opportunities. Good understanding of relevant company policies. Enhance subject-matter expertise in the Compliance area. Act as a POC and escalation point for support area. Understand, suggest, and encourage process improvements in the support area. Collaborate with LTO/CIO in the application or enhancement of information technology tools (such as copilot or IA agents). Drive the development of checklists and other process documents. Ability to represent GLN in direct liaison with internal stakeholders on various issues. Support the implementation of new initiatives in CORE support area or within Legal. Build credible and effective relationships within the Legal team. Provide individuals with positive and developmental feedback. Proactively try to ‘give back’ to GLN/Legal. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: A degree in Law is preferred but it is not a must. Foreign Trade or International Relations professionals are also welcome, among others with experience in the Trade Compliance field. Compliance related certifications are considered a plus. Fluent in English and other language (depending on geography supported). KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Trade Compliance is preferred. Experience in other Compliance areas is also valuable. Good experience in generic/legal research and report creation, including due diligence. Demonstrate promptness, accuracy, and consistency with the activities supported. Able to work with internal and external teams and understand delivery requirements. Experience in leading projects on function specific processes. Understanding of commercial agreements, legal and compliance principles Good understanding of corporate business practices and contracting regulations Detail oriented, sound judgement, organized, and adaptable. Good understanding of Accenture offerings and function specific services performed. Proficiency in using MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) Comfortable with technology and has experience in using tools, AI & databases.
