Job Overview

As a Commercial Associate Director at IQVIA Bulgaria, you will lead strategic sales and business development initiatives within the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building long-term client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities. This role requires a strong commercial mindset, deep industry knowledge, and the ability to translate client needs into impactful solutions.

 What You’ll Do

  • Prospect & Leverage: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing and prospective pharmaceutical and healthcare accounts across Bulgaria. Understand client needs and align IQVIA’s solutions to deliver value.

  • Network & Build Relationships: Actively engage with key stakeholders in the Bulgarian life sciences ecosystem—including pharma companies, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies—to build strong, trust-based relationships and uncover new opportunities.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Sales Management and cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic account plans tailored to the Bulgarian market, ensuring alignment with client goals and IQVIA’s commercial objectives.

  • Lead Sales Process: Drive and coordinate the full sales cycle—from initial contact to contract signature in case of the large complex and multi service projects as well as public tenders. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations, coordinate proposals, respond to RFPs, and manage contractual documentation in compliance with local regulations.

  • Customer Engagement: Maintain high visibility and regular contact with client organizations to ensure satisfaction, identify evolving needs, and position IQVIA as a long-term strategic partner.

  • Sales Reporting: Oversee the accurate tracking and reporting of all sales activities using IQVIA’s CRM tools. Provide timely updates, forecasts, and insights to Management to support data-driven decision-making.

What You Need

  • Experience that Counts: You bring at least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field—ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector in Bulgaria. Your background may be a blend of education, hands-on experience, and a passion for making a difference.

  • Healthcare Insight: You have a solid understanding of the Bulgarian healthcare landscape, including the dynamics of the pharmaceutical market, regulatory environment, and key industry players.

  • Relationship Builder: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people. You listen actively, understand client challenges, and proactively offer solutions that create real value.

  • Tech-Savvy & Analytical: You’re comfortable navigating tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems. You know how to turn data into insights, trends into strategies, and client needs into tailored proposals.

  • A Communicator at Heart: Whether it’s a client meeting, a proposal, or a strategic discussion, you communicate clearly, confidently, and with purpose — in both Bulgarian and English.
