Job Description
The Client Manager is the point of day-to-day contact with the client, representing Endava. The candidate will work within the fast paced and high-growth PEG sector of an international, yet fast growing digital organization – Endava. PEG works with mid and large cap Private Equity sponsors, and has been delivering projects covering IT DD, portfolio company tech assessments, value creation roadmaps and exit readiness.
The Client Manager is the point of contact for the client for delivery and commercial issues working within our delivery team across all projects for that client.
The Client Manager is accountable for overall successful delivery and has responsibility for P&L, financial forecasting, and commercial success for a portfolio of accounts. The Client Manager is accountable to Endava for the running of the client accounts.
The Client Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting a diverse team within their account.
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery and Client Engagement
Build and run delivery teams of technology and PE experts, ensuring an appropriate level of skill, maturity and time allocation required to deliver projects at the expected level of professional quality and matching deadlines.
Understand investment thesis. Collaborate with the team to define the project technical scope to address key investment objectives.
Accountable for revenue and profit forecasts and delivery.
Cultivate new business and relationships within clients, actively participating in promotional activities and industry networking events.
Spend significant time face-to-face with clients, ensuring strong engagement and understanding of their needs, forging a client partnership relationship rather than a vendor delivery function.
Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue growth within the client portfolio. Drive business growth by implementing strategic plans that foster long-term client relationships and revenue expansion.
Build personal brand and relationships with senior stakeholders (C-level across business, tech, sales, marketing) within the client portfolio.
Qualifications
Skills:
Familiar with Private Equity, Investment cycle, Value Creation Plans and tech diligence process.
Project management & leadership (teamwork, client management, contract negotiation)
Business and investment background – understand value chain (P&L) and business operations.
Technology knowledge – must have tech or tech-adjacent background in some capacity (relevant exposure to tech-enabled run companies). Basic understanding and value of Application, Data and Infrastructure Architectures within a tech enabled organization.
Familiarity with Consulting – able to craft messages and content for clients. Able to think and apply frameworks to produce client recommendations and next steps.
Proven execution track record.
Experience leading technical teams to drive business outcomes, including measurable KPIs.
Mandatory Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience in close to client roles (Senior Project Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, Account Manager).
Extensive knowledge in the private equity and/or M&A sector.
Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships with senior level counterparts within large client organizations.
The ability to absorb complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Commercial awareness having led negotiations and established successful commercial relationships.
A flexible approach to managing client deadlines.
Educated to bachelor’s degree level and preferably holds a relevant professional qualification.
Soft Skills:
Proficient communicator with excellent writing skills.
Collaborative, with a track record in project management and leadership roles
Result driven, with ownership and accountability for successful delivery of client engagement.
Open and adaptable, able to anticipate and pivot focus as required by deal circumstances
Commercial drive with proven negotiation skills
Experience reporting to or interacting regularly with executive leadership (C-level, Sr. Directors, VPs, etc.).
Professional experience in leadership with tech-enabled organizations
Able to distill complex technical information in concise messages with clarity, using business and investment appropriate language
Operational Excellence
Ensure compliance with governance, business rules, and regulatory standards.
Embed critical initiatives and processes within the client portfolio to achieve strategic objectives.
Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team.
