Are you a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Irish rail sector? Our client, a leading rail engineering specialist, is seeking a Campaign Advisor to help shape and drive success in work-winning strategies with key infrastructure stakeholders including Irish Rail and Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced professional who thrives on developing client relationships, navigating public procurement, and bringing complex rail infrastructure projects to life.

About the Role

As Campaign Advisor, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and progressing business opportunities within the Irish rail infrastructure market. You'll work closely with internal leadership teams, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to position our client for success across a programme of strategic rail engineering tenders and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Irish Rail, TII, and supply chain partners to identify customer challenges and offer tailored solutions.

  • Lead intelligence-gathering activities to track market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities.

  • Develop client engagement strategies to position the company for future projects.

  • Influence procurement processes through stakeholder engagement and technical expertise.

  • Apply engineering knowledge to support the creation of competitive, compliant bid proposals.

  • Act as a technical and commercial reviewer on key bids and proposals.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to validate growth strategies and business pipelines.

  • Enhance the company's presence and reputation in the Irish rail sector through proactive market research and strategic networking.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Engineering (Chartered Engineer status preferred).

  • Extensive experience in rail infrastructure, particularly within the Republic of Ireland.

  • Strong knowledge of Irish Rail, TII, and broader rail governance, procurement, and compliance structures.

  • Technical understanding across key systems: signalling, civils, E&P, telecoms, OLE/electrification, and ETCS/TMS.

  • Proven track record in business development, strategic planning, and work winning.

  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to shape profitable proposals.

  • Experience of public sector procurement processes in Ireland.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, proposal software, and presentation tools.

You'll Stand Out If You Have

  • Existing business contacts within Irish rail organisations.

  • Previous experience working directly for or alongside Irish Rail, TII, NTA, or the Department of Transport.

  • Knowledge of framework agreements, alliances, or joint ventures in major infrastructure projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.

Additional Info

  • Flexibility is essential - travel across Ireland and occasional time away from home will be required.

  • You'll represent the company at a senior level with clients, partners, and board stakeholders.
