Description -

Job Summary

The ITAD Operations Vendor Manager oversees the vendor relationships for IT asset disposition, ensuring vendors meet operational requirements, compliance standards, and quality metrics. They work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and logistics) to maintain a seamless end-to-end IT asset management process. The role also involves ensuring cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and regulatory compliance throughout the disposition lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key ITAD vendors, ensuring they adhere to performance expectations and contractual terms
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor vendor operations to ensure that service levels are consistently met, including delivery timelines, quality of service, and adherence to policies
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure vendors comply with environmental and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, R2, ISO 14001, etc.), conducting audits and inspections as needed
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with new and existing vendors to ensure the best possible pricing, terms, and services
  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on vendor performance, identify areas for improvement, and work with vendors to address operational issues
  • Cost Control: Work with finance teams to manage costs associated with ITAD vendor services and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Pursuit, Operations, Logistics, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of ITAD projects
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with sustainability teams to ensure that vendors align with the organization’s sustainability goals and implement responsible recycling practices

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of ITAD processes and compliance requirements
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards related to IT asset disposal
  • Ability to analyze performance data and implement improvements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with sustainability practices and data security protocols

Preferred:

  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of IT asset management disposition
  • Certification in vendor management or sustainability (e.g., R2, ISO 9001, etc.)


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline.
  • 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in supply chain, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
