Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking a Site Security Manager for our corporate office in New York City, NY. In this role, you will maintain and service work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the organization and its associates. You will be responsible for the safety and security of the organizations’ employees, clients, visitors, and property, by: conducting loss prevention assessments, including identifying and characterizing potential risks; developing processes and procedures to report on, manage and mitigate loss and security risks to acceptable levels; overseeing and conducting security activities, including controlling entry and exit to the organization's premises and safeguarding facilities, equipment, materials and employee property. You will also manage a team of 3-4 Security operators, including performance reviews.
In addition to understanding the responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor, the Security Site Manager is responsible for the contract guard force management as well as the proprietary staff oversight and training. The Security Site Manager is also responsible for the development and implementation of security policies for the assigned location, including but not limited to, security, internal investigations, workplace violence, technological protection systems workplace violence, and environmental health and safety.
The typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility required. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate an ongoing review of existing security programs and initiate the development of new programs, as needed, at assigned facility
Management responsibilities include performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and development
Job focus is on managing others and applying operational or strategic management skills
Manages professional employees and/or supervisors
Conduct weekly leadership calls with other managers at various locations
Manage various audits and site budgets
Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline
Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
Provide leadership and guidance to staff, and provide staff growth and skill/career development within the scope of the career development plan
Requirements:
Minimum education level – A two-year degree in Industrial Security, Criminal Justice, Business Administration or a related field preferred
Minimum 4 - 7 years of progressively responsible corporate security management experience
Military and/or Law Enforcement experience or the recommendation of the hiring manager based on the applicant's having prior proven security experience can be substituted for the above two requirements
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills are critical, as in the ability to promote the open flow of information by actively soliciting and listening to the ideas of others as well as excellent analytical skills
Proven ability and commitment to being discreet, tactful, timely and operating judiciously when addressing internal and external customer needs. Diplomatic interpersonal skills which allow successful candidate to effectively relate to all levels of associates and vendors
Strong problem-solving skills; must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor, and taking quick action to resolve issues
Must possess strong coordination, organization and liaison skills to help implement security program strategies in a corporate office setting
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation and active membership in the American Society for Industrial Security desired.
Able to work from Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Shift is subject to change based on coverage and department needs. Must have flexibility. Must be able to travel and perform other related duties and functions as assigned by management.
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is $72,000 annual. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
