Overview:

You will be responsible for Development & Execution of strategies, action plans, processes & best practices for the assigned categories/regions in order to bring new knowledge & approaches to the organization and thus a step change in savings/value.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead & support functional stakeholders in analyses of the internal/external fact base and understand internal customer needs

  • build global strategy & action plans for assigned segments & categories, especially for direct sales and service departments;

  • Support of global tenders within Sales or Service departments

  • Obtain stakeholder validation of and buy-in for the strategy and action plans;

  • Ensure integration of Procurement activities with other functions & operations

  • Share and integrate best practices for the segments/regions assigned;

  • Define local procurement strategies & actions for segments, ensure compliance to achieve TCO savings and value creation.

  • Assist stakeholders in writing of specifications

  • Run tenders, negotiate & formalize contracts

  • Identification and implementation of cost-saving initiatives

  • Support throughout the entire supplier lifecycle (from supplier selection to phase-out)

  • Proactive market monitoring and escalation management

Requirements:

  • Extensive, demonstrable experience & successful outcomes as a Software & Solutions Buyer

  • Experience in Telecoms or related industry essential

  • Good market knowledge on IT service and Distributors

  • Basic knowledge in ITIL Service Management

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Hands on mentality

  • Ability to handle independent RFP and RFQ requirements

  • Fluency in German & English essential

  • Ability to communicate with, present to & influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
