Essential Functions:
Performs general facility support tasks related to one or multiple functions, such as building security issues and access system maintenance, shipping and receiving, distribution of mail to employees, furniture and equipment moves, and conference room set up.
May perform building or equipment maintenance tasks including the completion of work orders, scheduled routine maintenance, preventative maintenance and repairs.
May manage company vehicles for site and coordinate the transportation of people and items.
May coordinate the purchase of supplies and manage supply inventories.
Responds to facility-related emergencies as assigned.
Coordinates assigned activities with outside contractors and vendors, as needed.
Education and Experience:
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Technical positions may require a certificate
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to follow directions and perform tasks efficiently and accurately
Consistently positive attitude and the ability to interact effectively with others
Strong oral and written communication skills
Solid computer proficiency
Thorough understanding of office equipment and machinery
May require working knowledge of building and maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and construction codes
May require thorough knowledge of shipping service operations and software such as FedEx, UPS, etc.
May require a good understanding of security systems
May require a general understanding of building automation system (BAS), asset tracking, and/or inventory monitoring Management Role: No management responsibility
