Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television, and commerce.
Decider.com, a proud member of the New York Post Digital Network, is on the hunt for a creative and passionate part-time Social Media Associate (24 hours per week) to join our team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creating, managing, and executing engaging content and social media strategies across multiple platforms. You will work closely with our Social Media and Design teams to build innovative campaigns that captivate Decider’s audience.
What You’ll Do:
● Assist Decider’s Social Media Editor in executing and refining the site’s dynamic social media strategy.
● Gather and edit a variety of digital assets (including marquee images, screencaps, GIFs, and memes) for use across social media platforms and the Decider website.
● Help track and monitor social media performance, providing regular reports and insights to optimize content.
● Pitch fresh, creative content ideas and execute them across Decider’s social platforms, with a special focus on Instagram Stories and Reels.
● Work collaboratively with the Social Media and Design teams to ensure consistency and alignment with Decider’s brand identity.
What We’re Looking For:
● Experience with popular social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) and a passion for emerging trends.
● Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop; training will be provided by Decider’s Digital Editorial Designer.
● A deep love of streaming content and a nearly obsessive interest in pop culture—knowledge of Bravo is a plus!
● Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt to Decider’s tone and voice.
● Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● A team player with a collaborative mindset, ready to contribute to the team’s success.
