Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

As a Senior Supply Planner, your mission is to ensure on-time, in-full product availability at Distribution Centers or Markets, maintaining target stock levels and cost efficiency. You will be accountable for achieving the required Customer Service Level (CSL), minimizing waste, managing Market BBD, and meeting other key parameters outlined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for your assigned portfolio.

You will play a vital role in understanding the complex challenges of supply planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop practical, impactful strategies. With a solution-oriented mindset, you will connect data, feedback, observations, and insights to drive meaningful business outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Manage FG and API/bulk stock levels to achieve target CSL and strategic inventory.
  • Monitor short shelf life items to reduce distribution costs.
  • Analyze CSL deviations and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Proactively manage production priorities and mitigate OOS risks as per regional guidance.
  • Optimize ordering patterns and collaborate with logistics for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enhance planning tools in line with local/global strategies.
  • Participate in crisis management; apply allocation rules and create data-driven scenarios.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure continuity.
  • Communicate with stakeholders using a data-driven, insight-led approach.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage packaging and variation changes (e.g., transfers, switches, prunings).
  • Handle complaints effectively within the assigned portfolio.
  • Apply contractual levers to enhance supplier performance and ensure supply continuity.
  • Act as the main planning, distribution, and capacity contact for suppliers.
  • Tailor communications effectively across different audiences.
  • Use supply chain metrics to generate actionable insights.
  • Support onboarding of new team members and mentor colleagues.
  • Deepen understanding of contract conditions to drive supplier performance.
  • Contribute to tool development and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support project launches, acquisitions, and implementations.
  • Continuously act on self-improvement aligned with job demands.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A solid understanding of supply chain processes, including demand and stock management, reporting, and planning.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supply chain or a related business/industry environment.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Familiarity with requirement planning or MRP systems is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving, combined with strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in English (advanced level).
  • A customer-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to work.
  • A continuous learning mindset, open to feedback and committed to personal growth.
  • Willingness to support team development through role-modeling, sharing insights, and storytelling.
  • Comfort working with data to drive decisions and generate insights.
  • Resilience and agility to navigate complex or challenging situations.
