As a JavaScript Software Engineer working in our office in Cluj, you will join a team that works on Garmin Connect, the fitness and wellness application that millions of Garmin customers rely on.
Garmin Connect is our best known, Fitness and Outdoor power-house companion app catering to over 20 million active users and supporting an ever-growing number of compatible Garmin devices (around 150 at this point). The feature set is very rich and targets our complex user base with running, cycling, wellness, training, smartwatch, golfing, diving, and even pregnancy tracking feature.
- From a high level point of view, our team’s main responsibility is connect.garmin.com with all its encompassing features, with more and more being created from scratch or migrated from legacy technologies
- We’re organized in decoupled verticals each with engineers spread between Cluj and our US main office in Olathe, KS, allowing each vertical to work and deploy code independently
- Highly collaborative product development process, closely working with Product Owners, BAs and Project Engineers on compelling new features for our global users
