Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies.
Business Description:
Leader of vendor-built technical products and in-house custom component development supporting a high-value transaction-processing application suite including managing vendor product & enhancement support, supporting LOB internal users, and leading small team managing patches, environment builds, supplemental internally-built components, & escalated production issues. Collaborates with QA, risk partners, & production support.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of maintainable technical-product management or application design & development with Java technologies for Windows corporate environments as well as traditional Mainframe COBOL/JCL batch processing
Multiple system integration protocol exposure: especially NDM/SFTP file exchange, MQ/JMS messaging, MS SQL Server with complex queries, and SOAP or RESTful web services.
Webapp UI exposure involving HTML5, JavaScript, CSS with awareness of best practices for securing browser and web tier interactions
Systems thinking with an eye towards strategic options in an evolving technology landscape consolidating application functionality & leveraging container platforms.
Solid communication skills & ability to converse with analysts, testers, & others responsible for system integration interfaces
Collaborates well with other developers, production support, & risk management staff on best practices & larger work efforts.
Desired Qualifications:
Financial services experience, particularly consumer & business banking related to core account & customer data systems, including transaction processing involving check deposits.
