Saronic is seeking a talented Security Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain our organization’s cybersecurity stack. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust
security controls and solutions across our products and systems. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting us from and mitigating risks to our groundbreaking ASV technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement security controls across corporate, production, and cloud environments
- Design, implement and manage security controls for systems, networks, and applications in alignment with CMMC, Zero Trust, NIST, FIPS, and DoD directives.
- Evaluate and harden SaaS, IaaS, and internal applications against real-world adversarial techniques
- Partner with IT, engineering, and compliance teams to align security controls with evolving business and regulatory needs
- Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat modeling to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Integrate security measures into the full lifecycle of product development—from initial design through to production.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including security protocols, policies, reference architectures and data flow diagrams.
- Act as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity within the organization, mentoring team members and providing technical guidance.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in IT or infrastructure security roles, with hands-on implementation experience
- Strong knowledge of adversary tradecraft and relevant mitigations
- Proficiency in general-purpose programming and scripting
- Background in managing the security of cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with endpoint security, identity platforms, and SaaS hardening
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive projects end-to-end
- Degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to act independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
