What you’ll do

• Define and execute the firm’s global AML/FCC strategy, governance and risk framework.

• Own policy and procedure development, ensuring controls meet regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

• Oversee CDD/EDD procedures, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and SAR reporting end-to-end, and the reporting of suspicious activities to MOKAS.

• Provide AML/FCC guidance on new products, services and system implementations.

• Chair governance forums and deliver concise MI, KRIs/KPIs to Senior Management and the Board.

• Prepare detailed annual reports to the Board of Directors and to CySEC on the effectiveness of the firm’s AML framework.

• Manage regulator relationships, lead examinations and handle ad-hoc information requests.

• Lead, mentor and develop the AML team, fostering continuous learning and accountability.

• Conduct regular training for staff on AML, sanctions and fraud matters.

• Drive continuous improvement through analytics, technology enhancements and control testing.

What you need to have

• 10+ years AML/FCC experience in regulated financial services, including in senior leadership related positions.

• CySEC AML certification required.

• Deep knowledge of global AML/CTF, sanctions and financial crime regulations.

• Proven track record in designing risk-based programs and successful regulatory engagement.

• Strong analytical skills, data-driven mindset and ability to translate insights into action.

• Excellent communication and influencing skills at C-suite/Board level.

• High integrity, resilient under pressure and committed to fostering a strong compliance culture within the organisation.
