How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The job involves coordinating and supervising production and maintenance operations, while ensuring compliance with plant procedures and rules. The incumbent is responsible for training and evaluating plant personnel on safety, quality and production efficiencies.The evening shift supervisor manages a team of 6 to 8 unionized operators. Supervises truck loading. The evening shift is from 2:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Plans daily production activities: Establishes the production action plan and makes any necessary changes, aiming for operational efficiency and taking into account cost and lead-time factors. Establishes and monitors performance indicators.
Analyzes production follow-up: Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operating reports to determine the causes of non-conformance to product specifications and operating or production problems, and determines the actions to be implemented to improve operations.
Controls operations: Ensures that plant facilities, equipment and yard are maintained in accordance with best industry practices. Ensures that operating procedures, safety and quality plans are implemented and followed. Ensures the safe handling, storage and filling of high-pressure gas and pressurized cryogenic liquid cylinders.
Team coaching and development: Trains and coaches team members to achieve objectives. Develops technical training plans for the group concerned and ensures their implementation. Conducts performance appraisals of team members and provides feedback to employees.
Technical process improvement: Contributes innovative ideas and vision, and participates in projects.
Communicates internally and with customers: Communicates effectively with employees to ensure optimal operations by prioritizing customer requirements and expectations Advances customer satisfaction.
The Supervisor is part of a team ensuring that Medical products are prepared in accordance with specific required procedures. Performs all tasks in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
