We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to work with our global FMCG client Elida Beauty, renowned for brands such as V05, TIGI, Timotei and Impulse, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Holborn, London. This is a full-time temporary until 31st Dec 2025, requiring 37.5 hours per week, to start ASAP, Monday-Friday. Compensation for this role is paying between £60,000 - £65,000 k per annum pro rata, depending on experience.
There will be a requirement to work onsite 2 - 3 days per week for as long as the business permits (Role currently offers a mix of remote & onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements)
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Finance Manager to join our Controlling team during a critical phase of transformation and system implementation. This role will provide essential support to the UK and French team by managing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency, and driving stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in stakeholder management, dual ERP systems, and hands-on financial controlling within a fast-paced FMCG retail environment covering multiple geographical regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and accuracy is maintained as required while the team supports other business transformation projects.
- Prepare detailed commentary on P&L reviews monthly on specific cost buckets.
- Lead the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process. Assign tasks and drive timely completion by team members. Prepare reconciliations for payroll, Fixed assets, general accruals, and prepayments.
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) including additions, disposals, depreciation recalculations, and ensure FAR schedules reconcile to the general ledger.
- Oversee Accounts Payable activities, including monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts, PO creation, and receipting.
- Assist with bank account reconciliations covering Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll bank accounts.
- Review and enhance financial processes to ensure robust internal control systems are in place. Develop and maintain comprehensive process notes and documentation to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Work effectively across two parallel ERP systems-Oracle Cloud Fusion and Microsoft Business Central. Analyse Financial data from third-party outsourcing partners to ensure integration and transparency between systems.
- Submit the monthly Debtor Scorecard with detailed analysis to the FP&A team.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis such as contractor costs, distribution costs, and other relevant metrics.
- Participate actively in year-end audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring all required documentation and explanations are provided promptly.
- Work closely with the Regional Financial Controller on ad hoc requests as and when required
Key Skills and Quali?cations:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualifcation (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- Proven finance controlling experience in FMCG or within any other retail business.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills across regions.
- Skilled in managing multiple ERP systems, ideally Oracle Cloud Fusion and Microsoft Business Central.
- Solid knowledge of Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experienced in leading reconciliations and review processes, with team management or coordination skills.
- Background in supporting transformation projects and system implementations.
- Analytical with strong attention to detail and ability to deliver insightful financial commentary.
- Proactive, organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple workstreams in a fast- paced environment with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in process review and documentation, focused on internal control improvements.
- High integrity and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial data.
- Collaborative and culturally aware, working across multiple regions and functions.
