Responsabilități

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

In compliance with quality, safety and environmental regulations, as well as contractual supply guarantees and standards, he/she operates production units and carries out local maintenance operations.

Contributes to customer satisfaction and industrial efficiency by making installations more reliable, optimizing operating expenses (energy, raw materials, waste, maintenance) and ensuring that installations run smoothly (availability, automation, reliability, degraded operation).

Participates in the continuous operation of the plant in “on-call” mode.
He/she may also be called upon to take on leadership or monitoring tasks in specific areas or on specific installations, such as (non-exhaustive list):

- Safety and Environment,
- Spare parts management (PDR),
- Pressure equipment monitoring,
- Monitoring of water treatment / cooling towers.

WORK CONDITIONS

Phase 1- Day shift on a 40h/week basis - may be required to work alone.

Phase 2- May be required to work 12-hour days and nights on a rotating basis.

Phase 3- On-call daytime schedule.

These schedules are for guidance only.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS

1. Controlling and optimizing production equipment:

  • performs operating operations such as shutdowns, start-ups, changeovers and commissioning,

  • ensures operational rounds,

  • control the process to monitor and adjust plant parameters and optimize operation,

  • analyzes and corrects any anomalies that arise, in accordance with the intervention rules in force,

  • carries out equipment lockouts in accordance with current procedures and issues the required work permits.

2. Corrective, preventive (routine and multi-year) and predictive maintenance of installations:

  • performs local maintenance on site installations in its area of expertise (electricity, mechanics, instrumentation, analyzers, DCS, PLC, etc.) in accordance with the defined maintenance plan.

  • programs, coordinates, carries out or supervises and accepts maintenance operations in conjunction with outside contractors and/or authorized organizations,

  • analyzes and interprets the causes of malfunctions (drifts, breakdowns and incidents) / carries out diagnostics, 

  • participates in incident analysis and associated action plans,

  • carries out periodic inspection and maintenance tasks, and draws up, optimizes and updates the maintenance plan,

  • ensures traceability of work by updating the GMAO and technical documentation,

  • applies the purchasing process (drafting specifications, consultations, ordering, acceptance),

  • may participate in drawing up and monitoring the maintenance budget (investment, improvement and upkeep),

  • monitoring the maintenance contracts for which he is responsible.

3. Site documentation system :

  • updates and develops technical files, diagrams and plans for the equipment for which it is responsible,

  • updates procedures (health, safety, operational, maintenance, etc.),

  • produces modification sheets.

  • All other related tasks.

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

He has the authority to take precautionary measures in emergencies.

He issues work permits in accordance with local procedures.

Are you a MATCH?

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Technical Associates degree preferred

  • Trade knowledge according to specialty required (mechanical and/or instrumentation and/or electrical).

  • Minimum post-secondary education or significant industry experience.

  • Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements.

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Knowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (Process Safety Management, EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations).

  • Knowledge in the proper methods of locking out and isolating equipment.

  • Ability to use computers-knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

  • Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude.

  • Good verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customers.

  • Qualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferred.

  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, internal rules and technical standards. 
  • Proficiency in computer tools.
