About the Role
We’re looking for a highly curious, technical-minded individual to join our team as a Business Development Representative (BDR). This role is ideal for someone who loves solving problems, understands (or wants to understand) developer tools and infrastructure, and wants to build a long-term career at the intersection of sales and engineering.
You’ll do more than just qualify leads. At Supabase, BDRs often help customers shape their technical architecture and identify how Supabase can help them move faster. This means you’ll have impact from day one and opportunities to grow across functions like Sales Engineering, Support, or Customer Success as we scale.
You Will:
Drive top-of-funnel activity for our Commercial and Enterprise teams
Partner with AEs to run qualification and technical discovery
Reach out to developer-first startups and identify decision-makers
Help customers understand how Supabase fits into their existing architecture
Grow your technical and commercial skills through mentorship and real-world experience
We’re Looking For:
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong technical curiosity
A natural problem-solver who learns quickly and adapts fast
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
A proactive attitude and strong work ethic
Interest in developer tools, databases, or open source
Nice to Have:
Experience in a technical bootcamp, side projects, or previous BDR role
Familiarity with SQL, Postgres, or REST APIs
About the team
We're a startup. It's unstructured.
Collectively founded more than 30 startups.
Globally distributed team with more than 30 different nationalities.
We deeply believe in the efficacy of collaborative open source. We support existing communities and tools, rather than building "yet another xx".
We "dogfood" everything. If you use it in your project, we use it in Supabase.
Process
The entire process is fully remote and all communication will happen over email or via video chat.
Once you've submitted your application, the team will review your submission and may reach out for a short screening interview over a video call.
If you pass the screen you will be invited to up to four follow-up interviews.
The calls:
usually take between 20-45 minutes each depending on the interviewer.
most of the time, are all 1:1.
will be with the founders, a member of either the growth or engineering team (depending on the role) and usually one other person from your immediate team or function.
Once the interviews are over, the team will meet to discuss several roles and candidates and may:
ask one or two follow-up questions over email or a quick call.
go directly to making an offer.
