We are currently looking for an engineer to join us for the following projects:
Active Captain is our companion app designed to enhance the boating experience with key features like navigation and boat control.
Striker Cast is a GPS sonar, an easy to read device which can help the users find fish, because it shows exactly where they are.
You can find navigation and sonar technology with an intuitive interface that combines advanced technology and connectivity to meet the needs of any captain or angler.
We believe that collaboration leads to the best ideas, and we rely heavily on team interaction. As a hybrid role based in Cluj-Napoca, this position will require at least 3 days in the office each week.
Responsabilities:
- Review complex tasks for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
- Demonstrate proficient use and knowledge of established standards and procedures.
- Improve existing software with limited assistance from other associates.
- Effectively manage tasks and priorities for overlapping projects and meet deadlines in a consistent, complete, and accurate manner.
- Work collaboratively and professionally in a team environment with other Garmin associates to achieve goals.
- Demonstrate effective discretion, judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Communicate status of work clearly providing visibility to supervisor.
- Act as a Feature Owner for Marine initiatives that involve the apps.
- Develop/maintain Mobile Core components.
- Design and develop new modules in the Marine ecosystem.
