Your Role:
As a Senior Accuracy Control Engineer, you'll take ownership of dimensional control standards across major shipbuilding projects. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to develop, implement, and enhance accuracy control procedures - all while using cutting-edge tools and analytical methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement dimensional accuracy control standards and procedures.
- Conduct studies to assess and enhance the accuracy of shipbuilding processes.
- Validate recorded dimensions using AutoCAD 2D and 3D model data.
- Apply statistical analysis to identify root causes of inaccuracies.
- Partner with design and production teams to meet dimensional compliance requirements.
- Train engineers and technicians in accuracy control techniques.
- Supervise accuracy control technicians, ensuring compliance and consistency.
- Oversee and manage accuracy-focused improvement projects.
- Document and report on findings, trends, and improvement opportunities.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
- At least 7 years of experience in accuracy control or related fields, including 5 years in shipbuilding or comparable manufacturing industries.
- Deep knowledge of IACS standards and experience with Class Societies for new builds.
- Proficiency with tools such as Laser Scanners/Trackers, Total Station, and Space Analyzer.
- Expertise in AutoCAD 2D and 3D modelling.
