About the role
Assist with compliance projects owned or coordinated by Global Data Protection (GDP) globally. This position reports to the Manager, Data Protection Compliance. The data protection compliance professional supports efforts to operationalize GDP projects and related assets across DXC’s global geographies, and to help the company’s businesses and their personnel comply with DXC’s privacy policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Daily challenges
- Assist with key GDP activities and initiatives across DXC’s global geographies aimed to foster uniformly and cohesively the protection of DXC’s employees and client’s personal data as well as compliance with international regulations on data privacy and data transfers.
- Assist GDP in managing and maintaining its global privacy program, which includes compliance processes and procedures designed to govern the collection, use and transfer of personal data processed by or in the possession of DXC based on the relevant regulatory requirements.
- Assists in establishing effective collaborative relationships and workflow processes between the GDP and important corporate compliance functions within DXC’s corporate headquarter and critical geographies, including the legal, security, business technology, internal audit, human resources, and other organizations.
- Support GDP leadership with regards to periodic, consolidated reporting of data protection compliance KPIs, KRIs, and other metrics and assist GDP to prepare such reports, as applicable.
- Assist GDP with the implementation and moderation of meetings, committees, steering boards, etc. aimed to facilitate sustainable communication and relationship with key business stakeholders.
eXperience and skills required
- Compliance experience in privacy and data protection laws, in particular EU GDPR, CCPA, etc.
- Experience in government legal and regulatory data protection compliance in a corporate setting is a big plus
- A professional in carrying out risk assessments, such as Data Protection Impact Assessments
- Experience in processing data subject requests, including privilege and redaction
- Master's degree, a law degree and/or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) is a plus
- Adaptive, collaborative type who takes initiative and makes things happen
- Good written and oral communication skills; comfortable and confident interfacing with customers
- Business solutions software skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
