Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of analysts while being responsible for delivery of team goals and objectives. Complete quality assessments on work completed by the analysts to ensure adherence with policy and documented procedures.
  • Applies policies and procedures to assess and provide concurrence approval subject to delegated signing authority, ensure exposure and credit risk is appropriately conducted, sound decisions are made, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Host regular meetings to mentor, coach and advise on complex reviews, clarify policy and procedures, resolve escalations, answer questions, etc.
  • Review and approve exception approval request, balancing risk mitigation and customer experience, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with cross-functional stakeholders on info request, risk insights and recommendations throughout.
  • Stay current with payment processing trends and work closely with compliance and fraud experts as needed.
  • Identify training and developmental goals as well as providing feedback on data, tools, policy and procedure improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation to, and follow up with, internal departments and management on issues that may arise.
  • Fluency in English is a must.

Hiring Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance, law, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in merchant underwriting, credit risk, or commercial lending.
  • Prior experience managing or supervising analytical teams in a high-performance environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze large amounts of data to report critical information.
  • Interact with peer’s and risk professionals, all levels of management and other internal or external constituents in order to deliver comprehensive views on complex risk and compliance assessments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, and online research/database tools.
  • Proactive, results-driven mindset with strong business acumen and problem-solving ability.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
