Job Summary:
The Income Tax Manager will lead the management, compliance, and planning of corporate income taxes across jurisdictions while closely collaborating with the Transfer Pricing (TP) team. The role ensures alignment between income tax and TP outcomes, accurate reporting, risk mitigation, and adherence to global tax regulations and OECD guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Income Tax Compliance and Reporting
Prepare and review corporate income tax returns for group entities, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Oversee quarterly and annual income tax provisions under IFRS/US GAAP/local GAAP.
Manage tax accounting processes, including FIN 48 and deferred tax reporting.
Transfer Pricing Collaboration
Partner with the TP team to ensure alignment between local tax returns and TP documentation.
Review TP outcomes in the context of local tax audits and ensure consistency in reporting taxable profits.
Support implementation and monitoring of intercompany pricing policies to ensure compliance with OECD and local regulations.
Audit & Risk Management
Manage income tax audits and liaise with tax authorities, ensuring robust defence of tax positions, including TP outcomes.
Identify tax risks and propose strategies for mitigation in collaboration with TP and finance teams.
Planning & Advisory
Support strategic tax planning, including the impact of TP adjustments, BEPS Pillar 2, and global minimum tax.
Advise business units on tax implications of cross-border transactions, supply chain changes, and new business initiatives.
Process Improvement & Governance
Drive continuous improvement in direct tax processes, controls, and automation.
Ensure data integrity and effective documentation to support tax filings and defend audit positions.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Business Units to support business operations from a tax perspective.
Coordinate with external advisors where necessary.
Qualification:
Essential
Chartered Accountant, CPA, CTA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
5–8+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax roles, ideally in a multinational or Big 4 firm.
Experience with tax reporting under IFRS, US GAAP or local GAAP.
Skills & Competencies:
Must be fluent in English (spoken and written). An additional European language such as French or German would be advantageous.
Strong technical knowledge of corporate income tax.
Familiarity with OECD BEPS actions and global minimum tax (Pillar 2) implications.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and tax compliance/reporting tools (e.g., OneSource, Alteryx, TP Catalyst).
Desirable:
Experience with compliance platforms (e.g., OneSource, Alteryx, TP Catalyst).
Experience working in a shared service or centralized tax function.
Exposure to technology-enabled tax solutions and process automation.
