Our team is highly analytical, fast-moving, and focused on one thing: getting more people to compare insurance quotes using Insurify. 
How you will make an impact:
<ul>
<li>Solve cross-functional, high velocity, high impact analytics problems. Scale the business using data.</li>
<li>A mix of business analytics, analytics engineering, and data science using SQL and python.</li>
<li>Ultimately, this role is about using data to make our company better across all areas of the business, so we want someone who is excited to tackle a wide range of structured and unstructured problems using data! Solutions do not come in neat boxes.</li>
</ul>
Sample projects:
<ul>
<li>Analyze a novel dataset to recommend areas for the business to improve</li>
<li>Operate and improve a core data product optimizing for multiple competing KPIs&nbsp;</li>
<li>Build new data pipelines to support tracking of a new business initiative</li>
<li>Innovate data modeling and data presentation to drive business understanding</li>
<li>Improve prediction accuracy of our customer acquisition machine learning bidding algorithms</li>
<li>Build reports and dashboards to help power the company’s decision making</li>
<li>Do customer segmentation analysis to discover where to improve Insurify products</li>
</ul>
Key Skills
<ul>
<li>Bachelors in computer science, analytics, economics, or other STEM major required. Masters preferred.</li>
<li>Strong quantitative and programming skills with a product-driven sensibility.</li>
<li>Quick learning ability and a drive suitable for the startup hustle.</li>
<li>A friendly cooperative disposition and an eagerness to learn</li>
<li>Python (preferred) or R.</li>
<li>A positive team player with a solid work ethic who is ready to pivot between projects, learn from mistakes, always move forward, and help build the next big thing in insurance!</li>
<li>Expertise in and real-world experience with SQL.</li>
</ul>
Nice to have skills
<ul>
<li>Website tracking. HTML, Javascript, website tracking analytics, pixel and event tracking</li>
<li>Familiarity with production data systems, big data, spark, dbt, sql, spark</li>
<li>Any domain specific experience relevant to Marketing, SEO, Retention, Product</li>
<li>Knowledge of statistics.</li>
<li>Experience in data analysis in consumer / retail / e-commerce / SaaS.</li>
